Rainbow Rocket News 10/14/26

Dear Oak,

You were in the mud kitchen taking care of each other by making sure everyone who wanted to use the potion ingredients could and had a bowl to work with. One person started using a spatula for flipping. I’m not a very good flipper. I had to use two spatulas to flip my eggs this morning.

Only they weren’t flipping eggs. They were flipping skillets and rolling pins. Uh oh! We needed to take care of Rainbow School, and those things could break. You will move on to other schools like our friends from last school year, and new children will come. And they will want to play with the skillets, spatulas, and rolling pins too.

I saw one of our friends from last year today when I was walking. But, let me get back to what happened. I helped them stop. They were having a hard time stopping on their own. Later, we discovered what we could flip and break. Dirt clods! You found some really big ones. You flipped them into Grandmother Mulberry with a shovel flipper, and the dirt clod broke!

I wondered how many pieces. You thought a hundred. I thought maybe even more.

Love,
Teacher Michelle
